35 Years of Parinda: Anil Kapoor reflects on the bold legacy of the iconic film; calls it “the most powerful film ever made”
Actor Anil Kapoor marked the 35th anniversary of his film Parinda, calling it “the most powerful film ever made” on Sunday. He shared the film’s poster and a message on his Instagram Stories.
The message read, “35 years ago, we had the audacity, the confidence, and the cool arrogance to call it 'the most powerful film ever made.' And to this day, Parinda continues to stand the test of time.”
He recalled the time and added, “Looking back, it still surprises me that we dared to put that on the poster and that audiences embraced it so wholeheartedly. Thank you for keeping Parinda alive in your hearts after all these years. Here's to a legacy that remains timeless! #35yearsofParinda.”
The 1989 criminal drama also stars Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, and Madhuri Dixit. Vidhu Vinod Chopra co-wrote, produced, and directed the film.
It is a criminal drama about brothers Kishen (Jackie) and Karan (Anil), who live in Mumbai. Karan falls in love with Paro (Madhuri), a friend's gorgeous sister, but leaves India to study in America.
On the work front, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Subedaar, alongside Radhikka. Prime Video took to its official Instagram account and announced the beginning of the shoot and also shared Anil Kapoor’s look from the film.
