From wedding invitations to the guest list, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tying the knot has become the talk of the town! The couple, who have been in a relationship for over half a decade, are expected to get married this month and the preparations, we hear, are on full swing. As Bollywood celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16, among them was Sonakshi who is expected to have also spent time with Zaheer and his family.
While Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have never opened up about their relationship in public or have shared the news about their wedding, the recent photo which found its way on social media has added fuel to the fire. Zaheer’s sister Sanam Ratansi took to the platform to share a frame-worthy family photo. For the unversed, Sanam is a costume designer who also worked with Sonakshi recently for her much talked about web-series Heeramandi. Speaking of Zaheer’s family, his father Iqbal Ratansi is a popular jewellery designer whereas his mother is a homemaker. Zaheer also has a younger brother who is an engineer.

Sonakshi and Zaheer are expected to tie the knot at the plush Bastian, a restaurant chain co-owned by Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty, in Mumbai on June 23 at 8:30 pm. The event is expected to be an extremely private affair with family and close friends in attendance. A wedding invite feature the two actors on a magazine cover along with a audio note found its way online which is expected to be their official invitation for the function.
Their career
While Zaheer Iqbal kicked off his debut with the film Notebook in 2019 and went on to do Double XL with Sonakshi Sinha in 2022 and later also collaborated with her for the song ‘Blockbuster’, Sonakshi recently tasted extensive success with her web-series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, on Netflix. The actress also has other projects like a horror film Kakuda and fantasy drama Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness in the pipeline.
