Arijit Singh spots Mahira Khan at his Dubai concert; apologises for not recognizing her: “I was singing her song 'Zaalima'…”
A video doing the rounds on social media captures a delightful exchange between Bollywood singer Arijit Singh and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan during Singh's concert in Dubai. Mahira, a Pakistani superstar, was spotted enjoying Arijit's performance recently while attending an award show in Dubai. Interestingly, Singh sang the hit song ‘Zaalima’ from the movie "Raees," which featured Khan alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
The viral video shows Arijit Singh introducing Mahira Khan to the audience. In a surprising turn of events, the singer initially fails to recognize the actress. “You guys must be surprised, should I reveal?” Singh asks the audience with a smile. “I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have the camera there?”
He then admitted, “I have been trying to recognize this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen, Mahira Khan sitting right in front of me. Think about it, I was singing her song 'Zaalima' and it's her song, and she was singing and standing, and I couldn't recognize her. I am so sorry. Ma’am, gratitude and thank you so much.” Mahira Khan, seated in the VIP section, responded with a warm smile and a wave, acknowledging the crowd.
